Your incredible support in the way of donations and sharing of our campaign helped us meet our initial target in just 7 days!

We believe this shows just how strongly people feel about supporting CaLD arts and how much value is seen in a culturally rich and diverse arts sector.

It also shows that there is a real, tangible need and support for Groundswell Arts NSW - a designated body advocating for and supporting multicultural arts in NSW.

ALL FUNDS RAISED ABOVE OUR TARGET WILL GO TOWARDS FURTHER DEVELOPING THE NEW WEBSITE IN THE FUTURE AND TOWARDS OUR LAUNCH EXPENSES.

This is how we plan to use it...

If we manage to raise a further $500 above the initial target, it will go directly towards developing part of the second phase of our website, specifically, a members artists' profile page, to be delivered as soon as possible after our launch.

If we manage to raise funds above this, they will go towards our launch expenses - specifically to help cover artists fees and production expenses.

Please do continue to share the campaign and spread the message:

Groundswell Arts NSW - We are the voice for Arts Diversity ... and we are launching on the 13th of February at the Sydney Opera House with a fresh new website!

 Your help is greatly appreciated!

WHO ARE WE?

We are a grassroots organisation with a strong vision and with the determination to create a vibrant hub for multicultural arts in NSW. Groundswell Arts NSW is a non-profit incorporated association, with the aim to foster, represent, advocate for and advance multicultural arts in NSW.

WHAT ARE WE PLANNING?

Since Multicultural Arts Forum in 2012, we’ve been talking with the State Government, arts organisations and members of our arts community. We’ve been listening and we’ve written reports, data and statistics on what you, the sector, has said it wants.

We believe Groundswell Arts NSW can be the collective voice for multicultural arts in NSW - a voice calling for fair representation and advocating for the value of CaLD artists and arts workers.

We seek to create a hub where artists and arts workers can connect, network and access information and to grow Groundswell Arts into the voice for multicultural arts in NSW. Over time, we will provide access to programs and services to support CaLD arts and artists across the state.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

The first step in our plan is to build a website - an important portal for the CaLD arts community in NSW to access information and to connect.

And we need your help to do this. As part of our thanks we are offering some rewards including sponsorship opportunities and VIP passes to our launch – guaranteeing you a seat (strictly limited!) - under the iconic sails of the Sydney Opera House!

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE CAMPAIGN ENDS?

Shortly after the completion of our campaign and in time for Groundswell’s official launch at the Sydney Opera House, 13th February 2014, we plan to have the new website up and running in a basic form and to continue to add to it and build it as the Groundswell gains momentum. We will keep you posted!

Basic features of the website to be delivered on February 13th, 2014:

About Groundswell Arts NSW page with a brief history and profile of who we are

Blog - our up to date news page

CaLD arts news, opportunities and media watch page

Online memberships page

Documents and links page

Sponsors acknowledgement page

As we grow, we envisage adding functionality to the website gradually, including special member’s features such as:

Member artist profiles

Auditions and jobs page

Members only forum for networking and sharing ideas.

Links to resources and opportunities

Members only posts about shows, exhibitions, events, auditions and jobs.
