On 24 February 2017 I will embark on a 3 day challenge walking 44kms along The Great Ocean Road in Victoria. All proceeds will be donated to the Freedom Partnership's Safe House; for people who have experienced trafficking, slavery and/or slavery like practices.

Modern slavery can be described as

  • Power over another
  • Exploitation
  • Loss of freedom

People are being in slave through

  • Harbouring
  • Deceptive Recruiting
  • Debt bondage
  • Forced marriages
  • Forced labour
  • Trafficking
  • Servitude

Taking on this challenge was motivated by a few things. I have worked with the Safe House for the past year and I have seen and heard some amazing things. The dedicated team are constantly working hard to transform and restore the lives of those affected by human trafficking and exploitation.

I personally have witnessed slavery as i was growing up. It's a cause that touches my heart and the empathy drives me to give back and make a difference to the lives of those going through the same situation now.

I'm committed to raising $2500 or more for this amazing cause. I can only do that with your help. Your donations, whether big or small will have an impact on someone's life. That is powerful stuff..

No person should belong to another. Let's create an empowered world where each person has the capacity to create change and the freedom to choose their own path in life.
