We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to help shape the lives of disadvantaged women and children in a challenging part of the world. All donations above AUD$2 are tax-deductible in Australia.
To deliver a better outcome for future generations, a movement for peace is required. If more young people in the region can receive a good education, goals such as gender equality and social cohesion – critical pillars of peace and development – stand a much better chance of being achieved.
The Peshawar School for Peace was founded on the belief that an innovative alternative to the status quo was required, with a focus on peace-building and enhancing educational outcomes.
Our project is based on two critical themes – the empowerment of girls and promotion of interfaith harmony to achieve social cohesion. These are two key pillars of peace and development, which deliver immeasurable positive outcomes for society.
Our students are all learning together under the same roof, in the spirit of love and respect for each other and celebration of their commonalities as human beings.
We have now opened a campus in Faisalabad, and are looking to establish even more. This can only happen with your generosity.
Nowadays, we have run joint projects with international organisations such as the Australian-based Fred Hollows Foundation and the Paris-based Women’s WorldWide Web. These programs include free eyesight testing and eye health awareness; as well as free ICT training for marginalised women to build a more digitally inclusive society. An article about the project is viewable here.
Our Australian Patrons include Australian Senator the Hon Lisa Singh and RMIT Adjunct Professor Ian Howie. Our Pakistani Patron is Salim Ghauri, who is the founder and CEO of NetSol Technologies, a NASDAQ-listed firm with seven offices around the globe and over 4,000 employees.
Help us turn the young people of today into tomorrow’s ambassadors for peace and harmony.
