The Journey of Hope Walk is an annual fundraising and awareness event for the Manitoba Schizophrenia Society.

As the landscape of health care in Manitoba transforms, we, as a non-profit mental health charity, need your help more than ever to continue providing our programs and services free of charge to those living with psychosis, schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder.

On September 21, 2019 at 12:00 noon we will walk from The Forks Canopy to the Manitoba Legislature to raise awareness of the hope and recovery available to all living with psychosis, schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder and their families. On Walk day, there is a $10 registration fee that includes a light lunch, however if you raise $200 or more your $10 fee will be waived! (Registration begins at noon, we walk at 1pm)

Here's How You Can Help

1. Make a donation to the Journey of Hope Walk, or

2. Participate in the fun by collecting pledges! Click the "Sign up as a Fundraiser" button on the bottom of the Journey of Hope Walk leader page https://www.chuffed.org/project/journey-of-hope-walk, follow the instructions to set up your own page, and start collecting pledges by sending your link to friends and family and posting on social media. There are prizes for the top three fundraisers and there is no registration fee if you raise $200 or more!

Let's work together to end the stigma of people living with schizophrenia, psychosis and schizoaffective disorder by sharing the message of hope and recovery as far and wide as we can. With 1% of the population of Manitoba affected by a diagnosis, and many more family and friends being a support to loved ones with schizophrenia, this is a fantastic opportunity to show our support!
