Help us take the environmental film festival national!
SEPTEMBER 3-20TH, 2015
Films warm the heart. Transform perspectives. Spark debate. And inspire action. Films are incredible agents for change!
For the last five years, every September, we've been inspiring Melbourne with the best environmental cinema from all over the world. We've changed minds with powerful films, sparked debate with thought-provoking discussion, entertained with special guests, music and art and brought incredible folk like you together to have a great time.
A not-for-profit all volunteer organisation, EFFM has grown from the seed of an idea to a thriving arts and cultural event. This year we have grown our volunteer team significantly and are ready for the next big step – to take EFFM national!!!
With your help we can bring inspiring, eye-opening and thought-provoking environmental films to communities all over the country.
Let's get this show on the road!

"EFFM gives Australians a glimpse into some of the most pertinent environmental issues facing the world today and reminds us that these issues are not all happening in faraway places, they are happening right here on our doorstep - and, it's time for all Australians to stand up and be a part of the solution."
— Bob Brown

- a 3 day event in Canberra – $7000

Who we areEFFM is a not-for-profit festival run by a dedicated bunch of volunteers. A labour of love, the festival is born from our team's passion for using film as an inspiring tool for change. And of course our love of nature! We want to see Australians all over the country engaging with the beautiful, natural world that sustains us – reconnecting, discussing, debating and acting to create a healthy future for us all.
