My name is Wayne Enright - In my late teens I was a young person at risk - out in the wilderness without a map and compass. Nowadays my wife Gabrielle and I do our best to make a difference in the work we do and for the causes we support. Gabrielle and I work in the field of personal and organisational development and are passionate about adventure and facilitating learning journeys.

But this is not about us.......

This project is to raise funds for two purposes:

1. Seed funding to publish a tribute book for Mark Auricht who had a vision to improve our world by helping people to discover and express their potential. This book will be an inspiring guide for future leaders.

2. Proceeds from the book will then be used to support young people at risk and the development of future leaders.

Mark Auricht was inspired by mountains but they were not the most important adventures that called to his heart. His mission was to enhance quality of life by providing unique personal growth experiences. In his work with community and business leaders, and young people at risk he shared a compass for living, learning and leadership.

I am now on a quest to ensure that his mission is continued for our next generation of leaders who will face challenging new frontiers.

The Challenging New Frontier

As our world enters into a time of unprecedented change and challenge, we must evolve new ways of thinking, living, learning and leading. Ultimately it is the emerging leaders of current and future generations that will need a reliable compass to navigate the challenging terrain of this new frontier. Success at all costs will no longer be a sustainable philosophy.

An Inspiring Guide Book for Future Leaders

15 years ago I embarked on a journey to write this book as a tribute to Mark. His death changed me in a way that I could not have anticipated.

After losing my voice not long after his death, I felt compelled to give voice to his message and to perpetuate his legacy by sharing some of his story, his wisdom and the treasure I discovered.

The underlying theme of Mark's life was encouraging others to leave their comfort zone to enter the learning zone where they could discover the universe of their potential.

Future leaders will need emotional, moral and spiritual intelligence to unlock the gates to a healthier future and I venture to say that this book will provide a valuable guide for life, learning & leadership.

Support youth at risk & leadership development

Proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to adventure therapy programs for young people at risk and to leadership development for school leavers and young entrepeneurs.

The first step in achieving this vision is to publish this book and share it with those adventurous souls who will heed its call.

Our family will be covering a significant proportion of the cost but with your help we can produce more books and raise more funds for these causes that were close to Mark's heart.

Our target of $20,000 will help us to print more books for less cost - thus providing more proceeds for the causes we support.

These funds cover the cost of editing, graphic design, publishing, layout, printing and promotion. Surplus funds will go to the causes above, as will proceeds from sales of the book.
